Get more bang for your buck with free sessions at the Research Presession and National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM) Annual Meeting.
New this year for the Research Presession’s Opening Session, all NCSM attendees are invited to join this session for free. Magdalene Lampert from the University of Michigan will present "Maintaining Ambitious Teaching: Constraints, Affordances of Schools, Professional Education, Policy" from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Sagamore 4 at the Convention Center.
In exchange, all Research Presession attendees are invited to NCSM's session, "Understanding the Influence of the Common Core Standards in Mathematics: What Do We Need to Know and When Do We Need to Know It?" on Wednesday from 2:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown, Grand Ballroom 6.
Arriving early to the NCTM Annual Meeting and need something to do? Don’t forget, any NCSM and NCTM attendee can attend the Research Presession for free on Wednesday! Wednesday's sessions will focus on linking research to practice. Check out the program book!
